about
This track is about leaving behind the things that tear us apart on a day to day basis, and enjoying the transformative nature of waiting things out.
Aurally this is heavily influenced by my love for Javanese Gamelan music, the early minimalist composers who helped change the course of modern composition (Steve Reich, Philip Glass, Moondog), the women who paved the way for what modular music may be (Wendy Carlos, Suzanne Ciani), and slathered in the lovely cassette hiss I learned to love from the early releases of Jim O'Rourke and Smog (Bill Callahan).
Special thanks to Becca for putting up with my bullshit.
